You are joining us at an exciting time – we’re about to make some big changes at our company. We are moving offices. We’re re-engineering most of our products and services to become more of an online business and back-end fulfilment provider than a front-end retail store. We’re launching some exciting new products and services and steering our company in a much different direction from that which it has been over the past 10 years. We are planning to build up a network of affiliates across Australia.
As a management intern you will be involved in all affairs within and around the company. Join us as we undergo an exciting refurbishment of our premises, websites, products, services and promotional material, with innovative sales, marketing and expansion plans.
This is a very hands-on role. You must be willing to learn in return for extensive experience in a medium sized organisation. We are a small, fun, vibrant team in a young and exciting industry.
You will assist with the planning, management and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives to increase revenue in our company as well as recruiting and training new staff. You will help develop and implement marketing campaigns and new products for our Group. You will assist our front-desk staff with customer service and sales, fulfilment and processing of our agent bookings, produce arrival packs for client arrivals, & help welcome clients on arrival. You will also assist with Quality Management, ensure all internal and external processes are running smoothly and efficiently, explore overseas agent / business development opportunities, (especially in the German market), identify and help to secure new agents who will on-sell our products and services, process tax returns, provide advice to clients for their tax return application, contact employers to get required information and process refunds, online marketing, especially in the German market, identify potential online referrals via blog sites / websites etc, add content on these sites directing traffic to us, PR with local hostels, build relations with key hostel staff, delivery and distribution of our Just Jobs magazine, manage planning of new website, help develop new unique features and give advice to clients on how to use those, recruitment of new staff, advertise vacant positions, screen and interview applicants, support current staff with customer service, sales and handling complaints, manage stock of all our group products and place orders accordingly, help planning/ developing of future products and services to make our company even more competitive in the market and increase revenue, provide hand-on assistance during the re-build of our office, provide creative ideas of the new design reflecting the company’s image & assisting with the management of contracted building staff.

The Tourism Marketing Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
Our Tourism Marketing Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
Yes. We can arrange internships to meet your graduation requirements. These commonly involve an assignment topic or thesis subject.
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
