Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling, and delivering products to consumers or other businesses. Some marketing is done by affiliates on behalf of a company.

The five marketing concepts are: Production concept. Product. Selling concept. Marketing concept & societal marketing concept.

People involved in ‘marketing’ work out the best way to sell a product or service. This traditionally was done via person to person, TV, radio or printed media. More recently it is done more efficiently by selectively choosing the specific market via the internet or social media. This is accomplished with some of the following considerations; demographics, seasons, budgets, ages, price, distribution, availability, competition & incomes.
