Community Activities Internship Internship
The company is the only community group created for the members by the members, delivering services to facilitate a certain group of seniors staying in their own homes for as long as practicable.
Our company’s aim is to assist the frail and aged to maintain their independence.
Training & Experience Provided:

Training by our Social Worker to familiarise them with our methods and background of clients.
Follow up all concerns regarding clients with senior social worker.
Join our social worker to make home visits to reassess existing clients and update records,
· later when experienced, to see new clients.
Follow
· up the telephone monitoring of housebound clients by making personal visits. (We provide regular telephone calls to these clients who need personal visits but we do not have enough man
· power).
Attend our Day Centre where there are on
· going daily activities and have direct contact with the clients for discussion of any concerns they may have, and for reassessment.
Accompany clients from the Day Centre to medical appointments, local shops for specific items (not food).
Involvement and assisting with implementing the activities and outings.

Are the Community Activities Internships paid?
The Community Activities Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
When can I start my Community Activities Internship?
Our Community Activities Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
Do you organise graduation Community Activities Internships?
Yes. We can arrange internships to meet your graduation requirements. These commonly involve an assignment topic or thesis subject.
Can I receive credit from my University for the Internship?
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
Do you charge a fee for arranging a Community Activities Internship?
Yes, there is a fee for the comprehensive service we provide. Our fees will be sent to you once you have completed the enquiry form.
