Charity Events Internship Internship
We are a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting transformative research and educational initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for patients with upper gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic diseases, both malignant and benign. Our focus is on patient-centred research and educational programs, developed in collaboration with clinicians, researchers, patients, and their families.
Undergoing major surgery is a significant life event, and the recovery process from treatment for these diseases is both physically and mentally demanding. Unfortunately, outcomes for many of these conditions remain poor, highlighting the urgent need for continued research to improve treatment options and overall patient care.
Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
- We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to organise exceptional events. You will oversee every aspect of an event, from selecting venues to evaluating its success post-event. The aim is to organise a memorable gala event that engages participants and meets business objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing all event operations, such as venue preparation, invitations, and other logistical tasks.
- Conducting final checks on the day of the event (e.g., tables, technology) to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Overseeing event activities and quickly addressing any issues that arise.
- Evaluating the event’s success and submitting comprehensive reports.

The Charity Events Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
When can I start my Charity Events Internship?
Our Charity Events Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
Do you organise graduation Charity Events Internships?
Yes. We can arrange internships to meet your graduation requirements. These commonly involve an assignment topic or thesis subject.
Can I receive credit from my University for the Internship?
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
