Logitics IT Internship Internship
This company is a global brand specializing in IT and logistics.
They have established strong relationships with DHL, TNT, StarTrack and other world class carriers to offer affordable shipping to the SME market. With a strong focus on International Air Express, they are driven to make sure their clients are utilizing the best carriers to suit their own business needs.
They are a franchise model and have some 40+ franchises around Australia. Each Franchise is independently run and operated. This Franchise has staff in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. They are the second largest in Australia.
They are focused on providing a high energy environment that is conducive to learning and achieving business goals. They are very sales focused and day to day activities include a balance of business development and retention strategies to keep the customers happy.
Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
Interns will be provided with a mentor which will be their contact for the duration of the internship.
The interns will be trained in 5 main areas listed below;
– Business Development and Customer acquisition;
They provide a full step by step process for finding clients, approaching them and closing sales. Interns, will shadow a Sales Manager and assist in the process.
– Business management/Finances
Interns will be taught about the systems involved in managing a franchises finances and ensuring they are aware of the processes involved in running a franchise.
– Marketing and Networking
Interns will attend Marketing and Networking events and be involved in brand marketing strategies.
– Logistics
Interns will take part in a boot camp training program run by industry professionals about the market in Australia.
– E-Commerce
Interns will be exposed to seminars and on the ground training concerned with E-Commerce based brands and how logistics is changing due to this revolution of retail.
All in all, We aim to provide a professional and fun environment for Interns and ensure that they get an identical experience to the staff we already have.

The Logitics IT Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
When can I start my Logitics IT Internship?
Our Logitics IT Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
