Sport Event Internship Internship
Established in 1972, this non-profit organisation brings together members from various karate styles and associations across South Australia. It serves as the governing body for karate in the state, overseeing the development of athletes, coaches, and officials while facilitating local competitions and pathways to state and national events. In 2025, it will proudly host the National Championships for the first time in a decade, providing an exciting opportunity to showcase talent and strengthen the sport within the community.
Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
This opportunity will support the planning and delivery of a national sporting championship set to take place in Adelaide in July 2025. It will involve collaboration with the event’s executive team and organising committee, focusing on key aspects such as venue coordination, ticketing, transport logistics, marketing, volunteer and official recruitment, sponsorship and grants, and social media engagement.
Additionally, support for high-performance teams may include assisting coaching staff with training schedules, logistics, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental preparation.

Are the Sport Event Internships paid?
The Sport Event Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
When can I start my Sport Event Internship?
Our Sport Event Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
Do you organise graduation Sport Event Internships?
Yes. We can arrange internships to meet your graduation requirements. These commonly involve an assignment topic or thesis subject.
Can I receive credit from my University for the Internship?
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
Do you charge a fee for arranging a Sport Event Internship?
Yes, there is a fee for the comprehensive service we provide. Our fees will be sent to you once you have completed the enquiry form.
