Sport Administration Internship Internship
For over 125 years, this organisation has played a vital role in helping students balance their studies with extracurricular activities. With more than 40 clubs and three on-campus fitness facilities, it provides opportunities for students to develop valuable skills and experiences that enhance academic performance, support student retention, and create pathways to future employment.
Through social sports, elite athlete programs, intervarsity events, and club sports, it fosters connections, promotes a healthy campus culture, and encourages leadership and excellence within the student community.
Training provided & learning outcomes to be achieved
A sports organisation is seeking an intern to assist with its student engagement program, supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of key events and initiatives, including:
- National university sporting competitions (Sept 2024)
- Interfaculty sports events and a university-wide competition (Sept 2024)
- High-Performance Academy programs (Oct & Dec 2024)
- Annual end-of-year sports awards (Oct 2024)
- Orientation Week for incoming students (Feb 2025)
- University Basketball League (Dec 2024 – Mar 2025)
This sports business administration role provides hands-on experience in event planning, program delivery, evaluation, marketing, and logistics. Additionally, involvement with the high-performance academy and university basketball team offers exposure to semi-professional sports, including marketing, player recruitment, and allied health support such as sports psychology, strength and conditioning, and fitness testing.
The intern will receive guidance and support from the organisation’s senior management team.

Our Sport Administration Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).

Can I receive credit from my University for the Internship?
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
