Our company is operating in the financial markets. Our main activity is as a wholesale term deposit broker. Deposits are usually in amounts of $1,000,000 and deposits are with authorized deposit taking institutions, such as credit unions and banks. All deposits are covered by the governments deposit guarantee. Clients include councils, universities, unions & small fund managers.
There would be exposure to interest rate markets and the funding of banks through deposits from institutional investors and what we call, middle market investors, such as councils.
There would also therefore be exposure to the yield curve, as this is at the core of our client's business decisions.
There may also be some client portfolio valuation experience, but only for interest rate products.
We have previously placed candidates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth & Adelaide

However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
Our Financial Advisory Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
