Child Care Education Internship Internship
This is a centre based day care facility in a fledgling stage. We opened on 31st January 2008 with 4 children and have grown to between 15 and 17 children on each day. We are licensed for up to 40 children between the ages 1 and 3.5. Our hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 3.45pm and Friday 8.15 am to 3.15 pm. We are on the premises in Rose Bay, operating from the lower level leading out onto a large garden. We provide a hot lunch daily as well as morning and afternoon tea for the children. All children sleep between the hours of 12.30 and 1.30. We provide a learning experience in a fun, safe and happy environment. We teach the children a variety of songs that comprise of the usual nursery rhymes as well as songs specific to the Jewish culture.
Training & Experience Provided:
· Assisting to look after children between the ages of 1 & 3 1/2. This includes supervising & assisting children to do a variety of fun and educational activities indoors & outdoors. Set up & pack away items used during the day, changing nappies when required to do so, serving & assisting the children to eat, getting the children to sleep & then getting them ready to be picked up by their parents. This also includes general supervision indoors & outdoors to ensure all children are safe & nurtured allowing the children to get the most out of their day at day care.

Are the Child Care Education Internships paid?
The Child Care Education Internships are voluntary/unpaid as the main benefit is to you through a meaningful learning experience, NOT on photocopying and making coffee. However, many host companies offer a stipend such as weekly transport costs. The internship will assist you in taking a big step towards your future career.
When can I start my Child Care Education Internship?
Our Child Care Education Internship start dates are flexible. We have students starting internships almost every Monday of the year (except in December and the first week of January).
Do you organise graduation Child Care Education Internships?
Yes. We can arrange internships to meet your graduation requirements. These commonly involve an assignment topic or thesis subject.
Can I receive credit from my University for the Internship?
If you send us your University requirements in order to gain credit for the internship then we will make sure to arrange a placement which meets these requirements.
Do you charge a fee for arranging a Child Care Education Internship?
Yes, there is a fee for the comprehensive service we provide. Our fees will be sent to you once you have completed the enquiry form.
