Lydia; Teaching Internship in Sydney

Lydia is from Germany and completing an internship in the Education industry. She chose Australia because she wanted to travel as far away as possible. When she was young she wanted to become a hairdresser.

My home city: Schwäbisch Gmünd is famous for: Being the oldest Staufer city (over 850 years old)
When I was young I wanted to be: Hairdresser
One thing I want to do before I leave Australia:  Uluru
If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d choose: Thirroul Beach!
I chose Australia because: I’m young, I’m single and I wanted to travel as far away as possible.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: Outback, the Opera House and a lot of poisonous animals
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before: Strangers on the streets are asking for my well being – I mean, in Germany the people don’t even say ‘Hello’ to each other!
My worst job: Cleaning the cinema
My best advice: Everything will work out.
Destination of your next trip: United States
Australia described in one word: BIG (qualitative and quantitative)
