Lærke; Microbiology Internship in Sydney

Lærke is from Denmark and completing an internship in the Microbiology industry. She was surprised how much slang Australians use. She has important advice for future interns.

My home city: Originally from Aarhus but live in Copenhagen is famous for: Its many bikes and rugbrød
When I was young I wanted to be: A lot of different things but for many years I wanted to do brain research.
If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d choose: Sydney, of course 😉
I chose Australia because: Of this internship position and to get away from the Danish winter.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: I have always loved Australia. Nice people, great weather and amazing nature.
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before: How much slang they use 🙂 And how similar their culture is to the British culture.
One thing I want to do before I leave Australia:  Watch baby turtles hatch!
My worst job: Paper boy.
My best advice: Use sunscreen even though the sun is not out!
Destination of your next trip: Bali, Vietnam or Japan.
Australia described in one word: Amazing!
